FAQ
Need more information on how the women’s outdoor retreats work before you decide if it’s a good fit for you?
Our retreat is designed to accommodate women of most skill levels. We offer various activities and ensure that each participant feels comfortable and supported. Beginners are welcome. That being said, we’ll be doing different outdoor activities, including hiking, rock climbing, and paddleboarding, … Hikes will be less than 10 km but may be rated medium or hard on AllTrails.
Having a good fitness level is ideal for your enjoyment and ease.
Once you register for a retreat, we will provide a detailed packing list specially curated for that retreat. Generally, it’s important to bring comfortable clothing suitable for outdoor activities, personal toiletries, sun protection, a reusable water bottle, and any personal medication. We’ll travel together in a passenger van and change accommodations throughout the week, so I recommend you pack light.
Sadly no. Those outdoor adventure retreats are designed specifically for women.
Our retreats strike a balance between organized activities and personal leisure time. We understand the importance of solitude and reflection, especially in nature, so you’ll have designated free relaxing periods. But I’ll be honest, it will be busy! There are so many places I want to show you. That being said, you are more than welcome to skip an activity if you don’t feel like participating. You’ll be missed, but we understand 😉
All accommodations are double occupancy, meaning you will most likely share a room or bed (king or queen) with a roommate. Don’t worry, it’s not awkward, I promise! 😉
all meals will be included (breakfast, lunch, dinner). Some meals we will prepare for you, but most meals we will eat at restaurants. If you have any dietary restrictions, notify me and I’ll take care of it.
We monitor weather conditions closely and have contingency plans for each activity. But you’ll need to be flexible. The weather in the Canadian Rockies is UNPREDICTABLE. Some outdoor activities may proceed in light rain, while others might be substituted.
If you decide to cancel within the first 30 days of registering (and at least 60 days prior to the trip), I will provide you with a 100% refund.
After that, there will be no refunds for cancellations. If you need to cancel your trip outside of the 30-day window, we will try to “sell” your spot. However, that is not guaranteed.
I recommend buying travel insurance to cover your trip.
